One week after political turmoil abroad, and with another terrorist bombing this week in Turkey, we celebrate the 240th birthday of the greatest nation in the world.  That’s the United States of America (in case you thought there was a twist).  Happy Fourth of July to you and your family.

Stock markets around the world have been increasing in value all week as investors anticipate that the possible rupturing of eternal bliss in Europe will bring with it more cheap money.  Said cheap money is thought to be made available by stimulus and bailout plans from world sovereigns.  Risky thinking if you ask me, though I am all in favor of lower interest rates.
