Both wholesale and retail inflation numbers were released this week, showing that prices have risen more than they did last month, but not as much as experts expected.  The at-best mixed bag of numbers was enough to help interest rates reverse course from 20 month highs this week.  Though some are calling for rates to burst through that ceiling and move higher still, I think we’re going to see some reprieve on the horizon.  I don’t see 3% or even 5% coming online anytime soon, but I do see mortgage rates heading back down toward 6% by summer.
