There are a lot of great things about America, not the least of which are three day weekends with lots of food and fireworks.  So happy birthday U.S.A.!  And may we citizens appreciate the rights we have and the freedoms we enjoy.  May we have liberty and justice for all…and fireworks.  And hamburgers.  And root beer floats!  You can have all the parade candy and trinkety handouts.  The best part of the parade is the honor guard walking solemnly down the middle of the street, reverently holding our flag high in the sky.  Somehow that sombers me up every time.

We may have our challenges and we may disagree on how to resolve them, but that’s the beauty of a democratic republic.  We all work together and we all have a voice. Most of the time we’ll have all of what we need and some of what we want.  And we sacrifice some of what we want so that others can have more of what they need.

Interest rates have come down a bit aver the last few weeks, but with today’s strong(er) Jobs Report  and the Unemployment Rate falling to 4.1%, rates have moved higher again heading into that long weekend.
