Later this week, over 100 economists, central bankers, and journalists will meet up in Jackson Hole for the annual Economic Symposium. The attendance is only about 5% of what DAVOS sees each spring, but the Wyoming event is held locally which is more captivating to a U.S. audience.  The theme this year is “Structural Shifts in the Global Economy”.  The release of that subject matter, compiled with the NAR saying over the weekend that mortgage rates above 8% are a real possibility, is cause for concern for anyone worried about the affordability of housing.
